Board Officers
Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition (NVVTC) is a community of trailblazers—individuals, public agencies and private organizations—sharing their time, money and expertise to develop the Vine Trail. Community supported, the NVVTC is led by 28 community organizations and 35 volunteer leaders.
Together, we BUILD, MAINTAIN, and MAXIMIZE the Napa Valley Vine Trail.
Shawn Casey White
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Shawn is responsible for the Vine Trail Coalition’s execution of its mission, including fiscal management, fundraising, strategy, board and volunteer development, landowner relations, and programs. Read more.
Shawn has a 35-year background in non-profit development across education, healthcare, public health, and philanthropy. She spent 26 years in various roles at the American Heart Association, overseeing 30 metro divisions and $60 million in annual revenue. Over her first four years at NVVTC, her proudest moments have been working with counties, cities, and volunteers to open two new sections of the Vine Trail in Vallejo, Calistoga, and St. Helena. She is inspired by community support to raise $5 million through a capital campaign and the generosity of the landowners for their shared vision and openness to the new design of the Vine Trail in Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, Napa, and Carneros. Shawn is a San Francisco native. Her great-grandfather moved to St. Helena in 1915, and various family members have made the valley home ever since. She and her husband, Brad, returned to their roots in Napa to be closer to family and close friends. Shawn is happy to make the Napa community her home and is honored to invest her resources in this unique Napa Valley Vine Trail legacy asset.

Under his visionary leadership, the Vine Trail board team has grown, since the fall of 2008, to include over 32 members and organizations representing a broad spectrum of community and civic interests. This dedicated all-volunteer team along with two 3/4 time staff members share a vision to build a continuous 47-mile trail connecting the entire Napa Valley from Vallejo’s Ferry Terminal to the foot of Mount St. Helena in Calistoga.
